‘Aliens, Baseball, and Civilization’ Manga By Teito Heji & Sai Yamagishi Launches With Manga Plus Pickup

A new manga series has launched in Japan that has gotten a quick domestic pickup with Aliens, Baseball, and Civilization. The new series comes from writer Teito Heji and artist Sai Yamagishi, which launched on Shonen Jump+ in Japan. You can find the series page here with new chapters arriving on Fridays.

Heji made their debut in 2020 with Tsutsunuke Kemomimi and have three properties to their name. Yamagishi made their debut in 2018 with Moon Land and followed it up with Zenbu Bukkowasu before this series.

Shonen Jump+ is a free online manga magazine and app created by Shueisha that launched in 2014. It features original titles, content from other Shueisha magazines, and digital editions of Weekly Shōnen Jump. The magazine includes a variety of series, including shōnen manga for teenage boys, as well as titles for adults and female readers.

Plot Concept: Indifferent student Takatsugi-kun is living an uneventful life, until he meets Niina, a girl who’s utterly obsessed with baseball. Though she seems to have nothing but baseball on her mind, Takatsugi finds himself drawn to her. Their relationship progresses smoothly…or does it? An unconventional triple-threat romantic comedy begins!
