‘Marriage Toxin’ Manga Teasing Anime Adaptation?

Gero may be a master assassin, but he’s not exactly killing it in the romance department! Can marriage swindler Kinosaki help him find true love?

Viz Media announced back in June that they’re taking a new manga property to the realm of print editions with Marriage Toxin. The plan was for a spring 2024 debut for the property, but it saw a January 2nd, 2024 print release. It’ll be priced at $11.99 for the 232-page opening volume.

While the manga is continuing on in Japan, things may be changing a bit. The property has now launched a formal social media account and is encouraging fans to stay tuned. Nothing is said explicitly but when a series starts expanding into more direct and focused social media approaches like this, it’s certainly encouraging.

The series is originally listed in Japan as MARRIAGETOXIN and began in 2022 with Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda. It’s serialized in Shonen Jump+ and has twelve volumes out so far with it ongoing.

Plot Concept: A hitman and a marriage swindler set out on the world’s most grueling battle for marriage! Gero is a young man from a clan of hitmen, which has been in existence for hundreds of years.
