Another manga property is in the works for an anime production with the series Uglymug, Epicfighter. The project was announced in November 2024 with Toshiyuki Sone directing it from the scripts overseen by Kenta Ihara. Miki Matsumoto is handling the character designs, while White Fox is on board for the animation production.
The latest update on the project provides our first TV spot for it below, which revealed a July 6th, 2025, premiere date through Tokyo MX.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Junichi Suwabe as Shigeru Yoshioka
- Kento Shiraishi as Seiji
- Konomi Inagaki as Seika
- Maaya Uchida as Leeds
The light novel is known originally as Busamen Gachi Fighter and comes from Ryo Hiromatsu which began in 2015 and has a manga adaptation handled by Osamu Kozuki that began in 2017 and completed with six volumes.
