New ‘Grand Blue Dreaming’ Anime 2nd Season Promo Previews SEAMO Theme Song

The summer 2018 anime adaptation of the Grand Blue Dreaming manga has come and gone but the show is now getting some new attention. The show is getting a second season with dates and details to be determined as announced back in September 2024. With the show getting a July 7th, 2025 premiere date, it also recently set the opening theme song as “Seishun Towa” performed by Shonan no Kaze with Atarashii Gakko.

Now, a new promo has arrived for the show that previews the newly revealed ending theme song “Hadaka de Dotsukiai feat. May’n” performed by SEAMO.

Shinji Takamatsu is set to direct it and working on the scripts with Hideoki Kusama as the character designer. Zero-G is handling the animation production for it with studio Liber assisting.

The Japanese cast includes Yuuma Uchida as Iori Kitahara, Ryouhei Kimura as Kouhei Imamura, Hiroki Yasumoto as Shinji Tokita, Katsuyuki Konishi as Ryuujirou Kotobuki, Chika Anzai as Chisa Kotegawa, Maaya Uchida as Nanaka Kotegawa, Toa Yukinari as Azusa Hamaoka, and Kana Asumi as Aina Yoshiwara. Second season cast additions include Aya Yamane as Sakurako Busujima, Sumire Morohoshi as Shiori Kitahara, and Yoshino Aoyama as Naomi Otoya.

The manga comes from Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka which began in 2014 and has twenty-three volumes out and is ongoing in Japan. Kodansha Comics is bringing out the series in English.
