
With its debut back in 2021, we talked about the Witch Watch series as it saw a quick English pickup as a simulpub from Viz Media and Manga Plus. The property comes from Kenta Shinohara who brought out the long-running Sket Dance series and the shorter Astra Lost in Space, both of which saw anime adaptations. Back in early July 2024, we talked about how there was a possibility of an anime adaptation as a site domain was registered for it. The show was formally announced in August 2024 with an April 2025 debut.
The two-cour series is getting its streaming through Crunchyroll and Netflix but it’s also getting a special theatrical event through GKIDS. With an April 6th, 2025 premiere date set, the latest update has come in from GKIDS as they’ve brought out a new English dubbed trailer for it while setting the main cast for the dub with:

- Kevin K. Gomez as Keigo Magami

The show has Hiroshi Ikehata directing it with Masao Kawase assisting from the scripts overseen by Deko Akao. Haruko Iizuka is handling the character designs with Bibury Animation Studio on the animation production.

The manga is serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan for Shueisha and has seventeen volumes released so far there with the eighteenth set for a September 4th, 2024 release.
