With the fifth volume of this ongoing series released back in November 2024 in Japan, it’s now been revealed that the Gravure Paradise! property has crossed the 350,000 mark of copies in circulation in print and digital form. The series is known originally as Grapara! and was launched in 2023 by writer Ari Katsura and artist Keishi Nishikida as serialized through Magazine Pocket from Kodansha.
What we also have is that the sixth volume is going to have different covers when it comes to print and digital editions, which came out this week. You can see them below.
Katsura made their debut in 2014 with Megami to Ichinen Kuashite Mita and has half a dozen titles to their name while Nishikida debuted in 2011 with My Wife is Wagatsuma-san and followed that up in 2019 with Kisu Shite Kurenakya Shinjau.
Magazine Pocket, or MagaPoke, is an online webcomic site run by Kodansha and tied into their Weekly Shōnen Magazine line.
Plot Concept: A clueless gravure geek, Sumida Shinobu, starts living together with a fledgling gravure model, Kuzuki Sakura, by chance. While he is excited about his dreamy days, a dirty photographer, a corrupt manager, and a sexually harassing producer all come after “my darling Sakura-chan” one after another! Can Shinobu protect Sakura-chan’s chastity?
An NTR love comedy between a geek and popular gravure idols.
