
A new original anime series was announced in September 2024 with Maebashi Witches from Sunrise. Set for an April 2025 premiere, it comes from director Junichi Yamamoto from the scripts by Erika Yoshida. Nozomi Tachibana is handling the character designs based on Inami Yu’s original work with Bandai Namco Filmworks on the animation production.
The latest update has come in with a new promotional video and key visual for the series that includes setting an April 6th, 2025 premiere date for the project through Tokyo MX.

The Japanese cast includes:
- Sakura Kasuga as Yuina Akagi
- Hinano Sakikawa as Azu Niisato
- Rena Motomura as Kyoka Kitahara
- Haruka Minami as Choco Mitsumata
- Honami Momose as Mai Kamiizumi
- Tomokazu Sugita as Keroppe
The five main characters will perform the opening theme song “Sugosugi Maebashi Witches!”.

Plot Concept: Set in Maebashi city in Gunma Prefecture, it’s about the coming-of-age story of five high school girls. First-year high school student Yuina Akagi lives an ordinary but unsatisfying everyday life. One day, a mysterious frog named Keroppe scouts her and four other girls to become the “Maebashi Witches.” Suddenly, a room closet is connected to a mysterious space that brings the girls to a magical flower shop where they sing, dance, and make other people’s wishes come true.
