
The manga-to-anime pipeline continues with the March 2024 announcement that the Honey Lemon Soda series is in the works. The anime has Hiroshi Nishikiori as the director working from the series composition by Akiko Waba. Aimi Tanaka is handling the character designs with JC Staff on the animation production. With a January 2025 premiere set for it, Crunchyroll recently revealed its pickup of the series for the season with it available to viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
With a January 8th, 2025 premiere date, Japanese production partner Avex Pictures has set the home video release there. They’re going for a complete box set route priced at 32,000 yen for the twelve-episode series that will arrive on June 25th, 2025. It’ll come with a booklet, clean theme songs, and the promotional videos as extras.
The Japanese cast includes:

- Shōgo Yano as Kai Miura
- Rie Takahashi as Serina Kanno
- Miyari Nemoto as Ayumi Endo
- Shunichi Toki as Tomoya Takamine
- Taku Yashiro as Satoru Seto
&TEAM performs the opening theme song “Magic Hour” and the ending theme song “Wonderful World.”
The manga comes from Mayu Murata which began in 2015 as serialized in Ribon magazine. It has twenty-five volumes as of spring 2024 with Yen Press bringing them out in English. A live-action film was produced in 2021.

Plot Concept: In middle school, Uka Ishimori was nicknamed “Stone.”
In order to change herself, she enrolled in Hachimitsu High School, known for its culture of student liberty. Seated in at the desk next to her in the same class is Kai Miura, a coolly freewheeling boy with lemon-colored hair. In truth, Uka met Kai once in middle school, and decided to attend Hachimitsu based on a single word he said to her.To Uka, the popular Kai is a distant presence.
Yet somehow, Kai starts to look after Uka. With Kai encouraging her, Uka gradually begins to fit in with her classmates…
But…Uka’s world is gradually changing with Kai’s presence. —
Now, I am in the center of the endlessly spreading light.
