With the usual delay between the period and the reporting in place, Nielsen has updated to reveal the most-streamed shows in the US through the week ending December 29th, 2024. Netflix continues to dominate, and this week, it holds five slots, though a few are shared slots.
This week, eight titles have crossed the billion-minute mark as the holiday season saw people watching a lot of shows. The big show was Squid Game which with its two seasons comes in at 4.9 billion minutes for a big win. Virgin River also did well with 2.2 billion minutes for the period.
Prime Video saw Red One do well at 1.8 billion while Disney+ scored with Bluey again at 1.1 billion.
The holidays also saw Home Alone and Elf sneak onto the chart as family favorites to revisit.
