Fans of the Mieruko-chan manga series from Tomoki Izumi had a pretty solid run for the show with it being adapted back in 2022 and they’ve also had the manga coming out in English at a pretty good pace as well from Yen Press. In October 2024 we learned that a new live-action film is in the works for a summer 2025 release in Japan.
The film has Yoshihiro Nakamura directing it and handling the screenplay and that has now been updated with the reveal of a new teaser and poster below while also setting a June 6th, 2025 premiere date.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Nanoka Hara as Miko Yotsuya
- Rinka Kumada as Hana Yurikawa
- naenano as Yuria Niguredo
- Coki-Yamashita as Akio Gondō
The manga from Tomoki Izumi began in 2018 on ComicWalker and has ten volumes released so far. Yen Press picked it up in 2020 and has released nine volumes released.
