‘Kippo’ Manga By Hiroshi Tanaka Gets Upcoming Young King Cover

Things are going well for the Kippo manga in Japan with it now nabbing the upcoming 3/2025 cover of Young King magazine as you can see below. The manga began in 2009 from creator Hiroshi Tanaka in the magazine for Shonen Gahosha where it now has twenty-seven volumes and is ongoing. It saw limited availability through Crunchyroll Manga before being canceled.

Tanaka made their debut in 1988 with Bad Boys and has six properties to their name in total.

Young King Bull is a semimonthly seinen manga magazine published in Japan by Shōnen Gahōsha, aimed primarily at adult male audiences.

Plot Concept: An irreplaceable “spot” and the greatest friends in the world! Just when it seems like peaceful everyday life will continue forever, disaster strikes, and that’s when these men move to protect what matters most to them! The setting is 2010’s, a compilation of stories about the legendary boys of Hiroshima! Kippo is a Hiroshima dialect that means “small scratches left behind.”
