The travel manga series That’s Journey is getting an anime adaptation as revealed in May 2023. The property comes from Kenta Ishizaka and the announcement didn’t reveal any information about the project or when to expect it. With the show set for a 2025 premiere, we got a few details earlier this year. Recently, the production has rolled out a new promotional video and set an April 2025 premiere for it.
The latest update is that the property has nabbed the upcoming cover of Dengeki Maoh marked 2/2025 which showcases some very January themed material.
Masaharu Watanabe is directing it from the scripts overseen by Yoshiko Nakamura. Rere is handling the character designs with Makaria handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Hika Tsukishiro as Chika Suzugamori
- Sayumi Suzushiro as Koyomi Hasunuma
- Sae Hiratsuka as Yui Unoki
- Satomi Satō as Fuyune Kōjiya
- Yōko Hikasa as Riri Tenkūbashi
The opening theme song is “Tabi Shiyo! don’t you?” by harmoe, and the ending theme song “bookmarks” by Sizuk.
The manga began in 2019 and has ten volumes out so far as serialized in Dengeki Maoh and is ongoing still.

Plot Concept: The story centers on Chika Suzugamori, a college student who has been shopping some manga pitches around to publishers ever since she won a rookie manga award, but keeps getting rejected. Just as she was about to lose hope in ever breaking into the manga industry, she decides on a whim to go traveling without any particular goal.
