Seas Entertainment announced a new pickup with the license acquisition of the light novels and manga 365 Days to the Wedding by Tamiki Wakaki back in February 2023. And as we learned not long after, that looks to have been a smart pickup as an anime adaptation was announced recently. Hiroshi Ikehata is directing it from the scripts overseen by Kazuho Hyodo. Shuji Maruyama is working on the character designs with Asahi Production handling the animation.

With plans for an October 3rd date, Crunchyroll is handling the simulcast of the show and they’ve now brought out a new clip from the eleventh episode where Grown-up romance is such a hassle…  The opening song is “Kirakira” as performed by HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily while the ending song is “Tsumari wa” by GOHOBI.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Saori Hayami as Rika Honjoji
  • Kentarō Kumagai as Takuya Ohara
  • Ami Koshimizu as Asako Kurokawa
  • Fukushi Ochiai as Hiromi Gonda
  • Kana Asumi as Natsumi Komiya
  • Haruki Ishiya as Keisuke Itsuki
  • Kentarō Tone as Susumu Shinshi
  • Jōji Nakata as Jouji-san
  • Saori Hayami as Rika Honjoji
  • Kentarō Kumagai as Takuya Ohara
  • Nao Tōyama as Claudia
  • Fairouz Ai as Nao Umiyama
  • Tesshō Genda as Kōichi Ohara

The first volume of 365 Days to the Wedding will be released for the first time in North America in November 2023 for $13.99 USA / $17.99 CAN, with the series available in single-volume editions.

Plot Concept: Takuya and Rika are coworkers in a travel agency in Tokyo. They’re both single, but they don’t mind, since they’re introverts with fulfilling lives at home. Unfortunately, now their job is looking to staff an office in Siberia, and non-married employees are the first to be considered. Rika is desperate to avoid the transfer and goes to Takuya with an idea: if they pretend they’re getting married in a year, they can stay in Tokyo. The only problem is the two of them barely know each other! If these two quiet coworkers “fake” a relationship, will it turn into something real?
