With six seasons of the anime adaptation of Yuki Midorikawa’s manga series Natsume’s Book of Friends out there, that’s a lot of good material to enjoy. The series is one that has a good number of fans but was always limited in some ways as NIS America, which released several seasons of it, but never produced an English dub for it.
The arrival of the seventh season this fall now has Aniplex Japan setting the scheduled for the home video releases there. The thirteen-episode series is getting a five-volume release with both DVD and Blu-ray editions that are both limited editions. They’re priced at 6,200 yen or 7,200 yen depending on the set with the episode count as it varies between two and three episodes.

Viz Media is currently releasing the manga and is caught up to the Japanese releases.
Property concept: Natsume’s Book of Friends follows the story of high school student Takashi Natsume, who possesses a strong ability to see spirits. He inherited this strange ability from his grandmother and has had it for as long as he can remember, which has made him introverted and shy. His life changes one day when he receives a mysterious book that belonged to his now-deceased grandmother—the Book of Friends. Takashi soon discovers that the book is filled with the names of countless spirits that were sealed away by his grandmother. Not only that — the spirits who have their names written in the book must obey any order given by its owner. As a result, the book becomes a prime target for all roaming spirits trying to gain control of the spirit world.
