‘Changes of Heart’ Manga By Kujira Getting Live-Action TV Project

Known originally as Honnou Switch, the manga series Changes of Heart is getting a live-action adaptation in Japan. The manga comes from creator Kujira which began in 2018 and completed with nine volumes as serialized in Comic Tint for Kodansha. It saw an English release digitally through Kodansha Comics.

The live-action adaptation is set for a January 11th, 2024 debut on TV Asahi with Hiroto Takahashi and Hirokazu Fujisawa directing it from the scripts by Yoko Izumisawa.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Kaito Miyachika as Hijiri Akiyama
  • Wakana Aoi as Koyori Hoshi

Plot Concept: After being dumped by her boyfriend, Koyori went to her longtime friend Hijiri’s house to drink away her sorrow…and ended up spending the night with him! Not only that, he tells her he loves her—and she’s not sure how to reconcile the new development with someone she’s known since they were kids. After all, the stakes are high—if things don’t work out, she’ll hurt one of her closest friends. And to make matters worse, her ex wants to patch things up…? Koyori needs to figure out what she wants, before she loses it all.
