A new TV anime adaptation was announced in November 2023 without any details with I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons getting the nod. With the show planned for a 2025 debut, some new details have finally landed for it. With a new trailer and visual, the series has been set for a January 5th, 2025 premiere date and also had its theme songs squared away and previewed. The opening song is “Kimi to shika Koishinai” by Jun Fukuyama while DIALOGUE+ is handling the the ending theme song “Alibi na Curtsy.”
The show will have Shinobu Tagashira as the director working from the series composition by Tomoko Kanemaki. Tagashira is also handling the character designs with EMT Squared on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Haruka Shiraishi as Leticia
- Jun Fukuyama as Clarke
- Wataru Hatano as Nadir
- Yuka Saito as Brianna
Known originally as Hikyouiku kara Nigetai Watashi, the light novels began in 2018 and ran for two volumes that are completed. The manga got underway in 2020 with five volumes out so far. The series is released in English by J-Novel Club.
