The ‘The Blue Wolves of Mibu’ Manga Nabs Latest Weekly Shonen Magazine Cover

A new anime adaptation was announced in September 2023 with The Blue Wolves of Mibu getting the nod. The announcement came with some good details to get things underway such as the staff and a teaser and now a new update has landed. The show has been bringing out cast additions for the past several weeks and was recently confirmed as a Fall 2024 premiere. Crunchyroll picked up the show where it’ll be available to viewers in US and US territories, Canada, Oceania, Latin America, and The United Kingdom.

With an October 19th, 2024 premiere date, the latest update is some support side promotion as the manga has nabbed the 46/2024 marked installment of Weekly Shonen Magazine.

The series features the end theme song is “UNBREAKABLE” as performed by THE JET BOY BANGERS. We previously learned that the opening theme song “Ao” is performed by SPYAIR.

The anime adaptation has Kumiko Habara directing it from the series scripts by Kenta Ihara. Yuko Oba and Miyako Nishida is handling the character designs with Maho Film handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Shuichiro Umeda as Nio
  • Yohei Azakami as Hijikata Toshizo
  • Kensho Ono as Okita Souji
  • Chiaki Kobayashi as Hajime Saito
  • Shun Horie as Tanaka Tarō
  • Ryota Takeuchi as Serizawa Kamo

The manga from Tsuyoshi Yasuda which began in October 2021 as serialized in Weekly Shonen Magainze. It has ten volumes out as of the announcement with Kodansha USA bringing it out digitally in English and having plans for a print release in the spring of 2024.
