A new anime adaptation was on tap for 2023 with the announcement of Unnamed Memory which is based on the light novels by Kuji Furumiya. The announcement back in December 2022 saw some details but we recently learned that the show was being pushed back to a Spring 2024 debut. Crunchyroll previously announced their pickup of the show with plans for a same-day release. It’ll be available to viewers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
The series saw a premiere on April 9th, 2024 and Kadokawa has now set the home video releases for it in Japan. The twelve-episode series is getting done as two box sets with six episodes per set arriving on August 28th, 2024, and September 25th, 2024. The DVD sets are priced at 16,000 yen each while the Blu-ray sets are priced at 18,000 yen.

The series has Kazuya Miura directing it from the series composition overseen by Deko Akao. Chika Nomi is handling the character designs with ENGI handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yoshiki Nakajima as Oscar, Atsumi Tanezaki as Tinasha, Shuichiro Umeda as Lazar, Yuko Natsuyoshi as Sylvia, Chinatsu Akasaki as Meredina, Takuya Sato as Ara, Kohei Amasaki as Carve, Chitose Morinaga as Nark, Junichi Yanagita as Lanak, Jun Fukuyama as Travis, and Chiwa Saito as Leonora.
The show features the opening theme song “Tobigoe” by Tei as well as the ending theme “Blan_” as performed by Arika.
The light novels began in 2012 online but saw print starting in 2019. A manga adaptation began in 2020 with Yen Press bringing them out in English.

Plot Concept: Witches—the centuries-old mages that command power immense enough to bring catastrophe. Oscar, the crown prince of the powerful kingdom of Farsas, was cursed as a young boy to never sire an heir. Hoping to break the magic, he seeks out Tinasha, the strongest witch on the continent. To meet her, he climbs her tower, as she is said to grant the wish of any who successfully do so. Yet, when he arrives at the top…he requests that Tinasha become his bride!
