With the usual delay between the period and the reporting in place, Nielsen has updated to reveal the most-streamed shows in the US through the week ending August 11th, 2024. Netflix continues to dominate but this week holds onto five slots this time – though a few are shared slots.
This week, three titles have crossed the billion-minute mark as we get people getting through the last weeks of summer. This week saw Prison Break getting a resurgence with 1.6 billion minutes watched through Hulu and Netflix. Disney+ got a slot for Bluey at just over a billion minutes while Netflix scored with The Umbrella Academy coming in with 1.4 billion minutes.
Hulu continues to do well with its animated work with Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers being the big draw while also getting some time for Grey’s Anatomy.
Netflix has a number of shared titles wit just once crossing the billion mark this time.
