‘Shaman King – The Superstar’ Manga By Hiroyuki Takei Sets Serialization Resumption

1 min read

The Shaman King – The Superstar manga ended its serialization back in late 2023 when the magazine it ran in, Shonen Magazine Edge, was shuttered. We learned at the time that the series was not over and that it would resume in the future with details to come.

Now, it’s been revealed that the property is going to resume on the Magazine Pocket app with plans for an August 24th, 2024 return. And we’re hearing some whispers of it possibly surfacing on K Manga as well as an English simulpub.

The property, a sequel to two previous Shaman King works, began in 2018 and has eight volumes released in Japan so far with Kodansha Comics bringing it out in English.

Takei made their debut in 1997 with Butsu Zone and has over a dozen non-Shaman King works to their name.

Plot Concept: Continuing after the events of Shaman King Flowers, the group of “Super Stars” will join together and spin together a new legend.
