Discotek Media Streams ‘Kite Integral Version’ Anime Blu-ray Trailer

Kite UncutThe Kite property is getting a new release through Discotek Media as the Kite Integral Version title. The Blu-ray is set for a September 24th, 2024 release priced at $29.95 for the OVA and will be bilingual. The 1998 OVA has a new trailer to promote it below which is always interesting to see how each distributor and release looks to portray the project.

The OVA was written and directed by Yasuomi Umetsu who also worked on the character designs. Arms handled the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Yuki Masuda as Sawa, Kinryuu Arimoto as Akai, Kōsuke Okano as Oburi, and Rokurō Naya as Kanie.

Plot concept: She may be cute. She may be young. She may seem innocent and naive, but don’t be fooled. She’s a cold-blooded killer, and if you’re on the wrong side of the law, you may be her next target.

After being orphaned at a young age, her parents victims of a brutal double murder, Sawa was taken in by the detective assigned to her case. Not content to just watch as the imperfect justice system let more and more criminals go loose every day, he’s decided to train her to be his instrument of justice. After all, who’d suspect a pretty college student of being a deadly vigilante?
