The twelve-episode series is getting a three-volume release where the DVDs are priced at 11,000 yen each while the Blu-rays are priced at 13,000 yen each beginning on July 24th, 2024 and wrapping up on September 25th, 2024.
With the first set coming out now, Kadokawa has brought out a new promotional commercial spot to promote it. Check out the full schedule and new details below.
Tsutomu Mizushima is directing it from the series composition by Michiko Yokote. Asako Nishida is handling the character designs with EMT Squared on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Chika Anzai as Shizuru Chikura
- Azumi Waki as Nadeshiko Hoshi
- Erisa Kuon as Reimi Kuga
- Hina Kino as Akira Shinonome
- Nao Tōyama as Yōka Nakatomi
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Zenjiro
The series features the opening theme song “GA-TAN GO-TON” from Rei Nakashima.

Plot Concept: A certain town in the suburbs. This was not an ordinary countryside town that you could find anywhere. The residents were experiencing a strange phenomenon. But even so, Shizuru Chikura held a strong desire. She wanted to see her missing friends again! Shizuru and her friends venture out into the world outside, taking an abandoned and motionless train, not knowing if they will make it back alive. What awaits them at the last stop of this running doomsday train?
