
After a strong holiday opening weekend during the 4th of July, the second weekend was good for Despicable Me 4 as it dropped only 40% for its three-day take to bring in $44.6 million. That brings its domestic total to $211 million overall.
It’s not doing Inside Out 2 numbers but that’s perfectly fine as that sequel added another $20.7 million this weekend to bring it to $572.5 million since its launch last monther.
This weekend saw a few new things with Longlegs doing the best for a Neon release ever with a $22.6 million debut. Fly Me to the Moon from Sony and Apple debuted at fifth with $10 million while the re-release event of The Lion King for its 30th anniversary added just under $1.1 million.
