“Seduce a woman? Method?”
What They Say:
It’s been such a long time since I felt the feeling of love… Coincidence or destiny? A girl who has no interest in guys and a guy who has no interest in girls? After meeting at a mixer they did not plan to attend, Mio and Shuji end up having a “one-nighter”. Both do not expect much, but this meeting seems a bit different than usual… “That was so damn good…” “Why…?” “Could it be…chemistry?!” Can they find the feeling of “Love” once again…?

Based on the manga known as Otona nya Koi no Shikata ga Wakaranee!, the property began in 2018 and it has six volumes in print from creator Tamami Katsura. This was the first work from the creator and getting an adaptation pretty quickly worked nicely as this landed in the fall of 2020. Yuki Shiina directed the anime from the script by Nora Mori and brought in Ether Kitten for the animation production. The series saw an on-air and a premium version produced with different casts for it since some well-known voice actors could do the regular show while the more erotic version had a different cast. Obviously, we went for the adult version since that’s what the original work is all about.
Now that Mio and Shuji are working together, things are obviously going to get a bit more complicated. Especially since he’s being told by other coworkers that it’s in his best interest to have her interested in him for his job, not knowing that he’s already sleeping with her. That’s a new complication to things and seeing how the women are being worked over by another male coworker about so many things just makes the guys in general seem bad. Mio and Shuji are amusing in the way there’s a competitive work nature to them and his cocky nature is just getting him into more hot water with her because of how he presents things. It takes a comical twist along the way since he doesn’t care for the advice given and that the two are so close together just brings up all the intense compatibility elements they’ve discovered so far. It’s rushing through both their heads and it definitely makes it clear that with some intense memories fueling things, the two are going to have quite the time working together.
In Summary:
With this episode largely taking place in their heads, it’s definitely fun because you get a clear idea of just how deep their connection runs and the way it’s impacting them. The two definitely click and there’s an underlying nature to it that’s going to ramp up in some pretty great ways. The bit with Shuji at the end with how he was barely able to keep it all under control is a lot of fun and delivers a good moment to showcase just how much trouble both of them are in for the long haul. It’s a creative episode to highlight their interactions at work without actually trying to do something there but still having something that gets them both running.
