‘A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!’ TV Anime Expands Cast

A new anime adaptation is in the works for 2024 with the manga property A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! The adaptation didn’t release any details when it was announced in December 2023 but things are now moving quickly. The show has confirmed an October 2024 premiere for it while bringing out a new key visual below, the staff, and the first bit of cast news.

Now, after the deluge of information during Anime Expo, the production has followed up with six more cast members below.

The show will have Katsumi Ono directing it from the series composition by Deko Akao. Natsuki is on board for the character designs with Satelight handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Ryota Osaka (as Haruaki Abe

The newly added cast includes:

  • Mikoto Sano voiced by Ryota Suzuk
  • Mamekichi Maizuka voiced by Reo Tanie
  • Beniko Zashiki voiced by Akari Kito
  • Kuniko Utagawa voiced by Hana Ayasaka
  • Rintaro Miki voiced by Shun Horie
  • Izuna Hatanaka voiced by Ryota Iwasaki

The manga from Mai Tanaka began in 2014 and has sixteen volumes out as of the end of 2023. Yen Press releases it in English with fourteen volumes out as of the end of 2023.

Plot Concept: Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It’s hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering-and now he’s going to be teaching at a school full of monsters?! It’s a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means at their disposal to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to get his group of ghouls under control, or is this class destined for failure?
