One show I haven’t thought of in an age after it was shown years and years ago on HBO is the anime adaptation of Tales of Little Women. The anime series has now found itself a new home on YouTube Movies & TV where the first season is now streaming with its English language adaptation. Check it all out here.
Originally airing in 1987, the series was directed by Fumio Kurokawa based on the scripts by Akira Miyazaki. Toshiki Yamazaki and Yoshifumi worked on the character designs with Nippon Animation producing the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Eiko Yamada as Josephine ‘Jo’ March, Hisako Okata as Hanna, Kazuyuki Sogabe as Anthony, Keiko Han as Meg, Kōhei Miyauchi as James, Kōzō Shioya as David, Mayumi Shō as Elizabeth ‘Beth’ March, Miyoko Aoba as Annie, Nobuo Tobita as Laurie, Osamu Saka as Frederic, Ranko Mizuki as Martha, Rei Sakuma as Amy March, Taeko Nakanishi as Mary, and Toshihiko Kojima as Carl Brook.
Plot Concept: Little Women, based on the beloved 1868 Louisa May Alcott novel, is set during the American Civil War. Each episode will touch the hearts of viewers, as the March family shares the bonds of love and faith through hardships and joys.
