
Fans of the horror manga series Sayuri from Rensuke Oshikiri have some good news as we learned on March 2024 that the project is set as a live-action film from director Koji Shiraishi. With a lot of details out previously, the film was recently given a premiere date with it set for an August 23rd, 2024 theatrical release in Japan.
Now, as we’re just under two months away from that debut, a new full trailer for it has been released to draw in new viewers and excite fans of the manga.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Ryoka Minamide as Norio
- Zen Kajihara as the father Akio
- Fusako Urabe as the mother Masako
- Kitarō as the grandfather Shōzō
- Kokoro Morita as Norio’s older sister Keiko
- Ray Inomata as Norio’s younger brother Shun
- Toshie Negishi as Norio’s grandmother Harue
- Hana Kondo as Norio’s classmate Nao Sumida
The manga from Rensuke Oshikiri began in 2010 and ran for two volumes as serialized in Comic Birz for Gentosha.
