The KanColle property has had some solid releases with the previous series and the feature film, but we were promised more material way back in 2015 that is certainly taking its time in getting here. The second season, going by the name KanColle Season 2: Let’s Meet At Sea, made its debut on November 3rd, 2022 in Japan and wrapped up in late March 2023.
The show is now getting its home video release attention in Japan with Kadokawa scheduling the third volume with the final two episodes on it. It’s set for a July 24th, 2024 release where the DVD is priced at 7,000 yen and the Blu-ray at 8,000 yen.
The new season has Kazuya Miura directing it based on the scripts from Kensuke Tanaka. Chika Nomi is working on the character designs with ENGI handling the animation production.

Plot concept: Fubuki is a Special Type Destroyer who has just been assigned to the Naval District. With a grand total of zero battles under her belt, she’s sure to sink fast under the pressure of expectation. Luckily, she’s grouped with Torpedo Squadron Three, and they’re ready to support their new comrade. Together, they’ll prove they have what it takes to defend the ocean and win it all for humanity!
