‘Densetsu no Head Shō’ Manga Getting Live-Action TV Series

Another manga is moving into the realm of live-action with the announcement from TV Asahi with Densetsu no Head Shō. The manga comes from creators Takeshi Natsuhara and Takashi Hamori which debuted in 2003 in Weekly Shonen Magazine before wrapping up in 2005 with eleven volumes.

The TV adaptation is set for a July 2024 premiere and has  Takashi Sumida, Keisuke Kondō, and Hisashi Ueda as directors working from the scripts by Kazunao Furuya.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Fumiya Takahashi as Tatsuhito Yamada and Shō Ijūin

Plot Concept: The story deals with the chance encounter between two people who look exactly the same: gang leader Shō Ijūin, whose Grand Cross gang has more than 1,000 members, and Tatsuhito Yamada, a student on the lowest rung of the school caste. Circumstances force them to switch lives.
