The ‘Tis Time for “Torture, Princess” manga from Robinson Haruhara and Hirakei was previously announced with plans for a January 2024 premiere. The show saw a January 8th, 2024 broadcast premiere and Crunchyroll announced their pickup of the series for streaming.
Now, GAGA has solicited for the home video release in Japan with the first season of the series. It’s scheduled for an August 16th, 2024 release priced at 22,000 yen. It’ll be a two-disc set that has on-disc extras of the clean opening and closing, promos, and the pre-broadcast special program.
Yoko Kanemori is directing it from the scripts overseen by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Toshiya Kono is working on the character designs with PINE JAM handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Haruka Shiraishi as Princess, Chikahiro Kobayashi as Ex, Shizuka Itou as Torture Tortura, Tesshō Genda will play the Hell-Lord, Anna Nagase as Yōki, Honoka Inoue as Inki, Aya Yamane as Krall, Ai Kayano as Giant, Rina Hidaka as Mao Mao, Mai Nakahara as Lulune, Sayaka Senbongi as Gilga, Miyu Tomita as Vanilla Peschutz, Jun Fukushima as Kanage, and Houchu Ohtsuka as Jimochi.
The manga is known originally as Hime-sama, “Gōmon” no Jikan Desu which began in 2019 as serialized in Shonen Jump+ with eleven volumes out so far. It’s available in English through the MANGA Plus service.
