
It’s been a few years since the anime adaptation that was revealed in July 2020 that Hajime Musashino’s manga series Burning Kabaddi had gotten the go-ahead. The show saw an April 2nd, 2021 premiere and now a new update has landed about the manga. The original manga series by Hajime Musashino began in 2015 in Manga One and Ura Sunday and has twenty-five volumes to its name. Now, the Manga One app is listing that the series will be drawing to a close soon without giving a firm date on it beyond sometime in July 2024.
The series has set Kazuya Ichikawa as the director with Yuuko Kakihara handling the scripts with Midori Gotou. Mari Takada is on board with the character designs and TMS Entertainment handling the production.
The Japanese cast includes Yuma Uchida as Tatsuya Hoigoshi, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Masato Ohiyo, Gen Sato as Soma Azemachi, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Kyohei Misumi, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Shinji Date, Shinichiro Kamio as Nobutaka Ban, Wataru Komada as Ryuta Seki, Ayumu Murase as Yuuki Hitomi, Hiroki Yasumoto as Ayumu Rokugen, Kenichi Suzumura as Ren Takaya, Taku Yashiro as Shintarō Kizaki, Osamu Uchida as Yū Eikura, Junichi Yanagita as Daisuke Muroya, Natsuki Hanae as Manabu Sakura, and Sōma Saitō as Hiromoto Utou.
Shunya Ohira is on board to perform the opening theme song “Fire Bord” for it while lead actor Yuma Uchida will perform the ending theme song with “Comin’ Back” for it.
