Fans of Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie creator Keigo Maki have a new work of theirs to check out as they’ve published a one-shot called SeaWITCH. The new single-chapter story arrived in the latest Weekly Shonen Magazine installment marked 25/2024 which you can see here. It clocks in at 34 pages.

Maki debuted in 2017 with Mokusei Shoujo Ryuuseigun but is mostly known for their anime-adapted series Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie.

Weekly Shōnen Magazine is a weekly shōnen manga anthology published on Wednesdays in Japan by Kodansha, first published on March 17, 1959. The magazine is mainly read by an older audience, with a significant portion of its readership falling under the male high school or college student demographic.

Plot Concept: This romantic comedy is about a tsundere octopus girl living deep under the sea, waiting for humans she can devour. But when no one falls prey to her, she decides to sneak closer to the shore, only to get ‘caught’ by a fisherboy. Now it’s on, eat or get eaten… right?!
