The summer 2020 anime adaptation of the light novel series Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha is localized as The Misfit of Demon King Academy and Aniplex Japan is handling the home video release for it. The thirteen-episode first season series saw a six-volume release that began on September 30th, 2020. The second season saw a September 27th, 2023 release as a four-volume release where the DVDs are priced at 7,000 yen and the Blu-rays at 8,000 yen.
Now, the second cour of the second season has been scheduled with the broadcast underway where it’ll be four more volumes priced the same as above starting on July 31st, 2024. Check the full schedule below!
The series has Shin Oonuma as the chief director and Masafumi Tamura as the director. Mirai Minato is on board as the assistant director. Jin Tanaka is handling the scripts with Kazuyuki Yamayoshi adapting the character designs. Silver Link is working the animation production. Check out the new key visual below as well.
The anime adaptation will feature Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Anoth. Additional casting includes Tomori Kusunoki as Misha Necron and Yuko Natsuyoshi as Sasha Necron.
The opening theme song is “Seikai Fusaikai” by CIVILIAN while the ending theme song information with it being “Hamidashimono” by Tomori Kusunoki.
The novels come from Shu which began in 2017 and a manga adaptation launched in the summer of 2018 from Kayaharuka.
