Hulu Removes Expiration For The ‘Mobile Suit Gundam Origin’ Anime

A new look at what launched an age!

Gundam Origin Hulu HeaderLast month had seen Hulu slapping an expiration notice on the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime for the end of the month and Hulu is usually pretty spot-on when it comes to these. So, I had missed that the expiration was actually removed and the series continues to be available – and worth watching – on the service here. It’s available both in its original Japanese language with English subtitles and the English dub.

Originally released in 2015, the series was directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Takashi Imanshi and based on the series composition by Katsuyuki Sumisawa. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Tsukasa Kotobuki handled the character designs and Sunrise produced the animation.

The Japanese cast includes Megumi Han as Artesia Som Deikun/Sayla Mass, Shuuichi Ikeda as Casval Rem Deikun/Édouard Mass, Char Aznable and Tetsuya Kakihara as Garma Zabi.

The English cast includes Keith Silverstein as Casval Rem Deikun/Édouard Mass, Maggie O’Connor as Artesia Som Deikun/Sayla Mass and Chris Niosi as Garma Zabi.

Plot concept: Universal Century 0079. The One Year War has raged on for almost nine months. Now, the Federation is ready to strike back with its own mobile suits. Young Shiro Amada is en route to Earth to take command of a ground unit of Gundams fighting in the jungles of Southeast Asia. After being stranded in space with one of the enemy, Shiro is rescued and claims his command. But no sooner does he arrive than his team is given their marching orders. With barely time for introductions, the 08th MS teams heads into battle.
