Story/Art: Hiroshiki
What They Say
Being on the receiving end feels insanely good, too. ❤
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
Originally appearing in the April 2024 installment of Comic Bavel, this chapter comes from the Hiroshiki and clocks in at twenty pages. They’ve been producing in the magazine since 2015 and there are over thirty other chapters on FAKKU to check out from them. I struggled with some of their work from several years ago but tried a little more last year and have kept them on my notifications list to check out again. So when this new chapter landed after not seeing anything since spring 2023, I figured I’d give it one more chance because what could it hurt, right?
The story introduces us to Ruka, a young woman who is a bit frustrated with her selection on the dating apps these days. Her particular preference is for virgin boys that she can basically play and pamper with and enjoy the way that they’re so grateful. Most of the guys on the apps she keeps coming across are stud types and that’s just not her thing. She ends up coming across a young guy named Kanon who’s got no experience with women and is hoping to get past that with this kind of deal. She’s all in on this and when the two meet outside you can see that he’s definitely the shy and awkward type. Amusingly, his attempts at conversation don’t go well as she’s just wanting to take him back to the love hotel where she can strip him down and have her way with him. He’s just so awkward and shy for a lot of this that you can almost feel bad in how she’s treating him.
What surprises Ruka, however, is just how well-off he is – to the point where she’s not sure she’ll be able to manage it. The bigger problem, as it turns out, is that Kanon has an endless supply of energy to him as he’s not done the first time she gets him to climax. His problem is that he ends up having that happen a bit too quickly but he’s got the stamina to keep going and going and going. It’s a lot of fun to watch as that realization hits and she tries to get him to either slow down a bit or to just take a break. But he’s having so much fun and she’s riding the experience in a big way it’s not until he’s finally tuckered out that things slow down. But even then she’s realizing that she doesn’t want to let go of this particular experience which makes for some amusement considering what she’s been after for so long.
In Summary
This is a pretty fun chapter overall with what it does and I like the artwork a lot but it’s becoming clear that Hiroshiki’s storytelling just isn’t my thing. It’s a cute bit and it has some good moments of humor and amusement but it’s not doing much with the characters beyond a wham-bam kind of approach. That’s perfectly fine but it’s not what I gravitate toward so I think this will be the chapter where I take them off my watch list. There’s just not much real meat to their stories.
