The folks at Manga Plus back in 2020 brought a then-new series onto their service with Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! The property comes from writer/artist Kai Ikada and in October 2022 an anime adaptation was revealed. The winter 2024 anime is getting its home video releases handled through Pony Canyon in Japan. they’re going for a Blu-ray release only where it’ll be a three-disc release with each set priced at 13,000 yen.

The series has Mirai Minato as the chief director and they’re also overseeing the scripts. Misuzu Hoshino is directing it at Silver Link and Blade with Katsuyuki Sato handling the character designs.
The Japanese cast includes Ayane Sakura as Minami Fuyuki, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tsubasa Shiki, Yumiri Hanamori as Sayuri Akino, Reina Ueda as Rena Natsukawa, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Takayumi Matsuo, Rika Nagae as Momoko Fuyuki, Eri Kitamura as Minami Fuyuki, Mariko Nagai as Asuka, and Yurika Kubo as Hina.
The English dub has Jeremy Inman as the ADR director working from the scripts by Madeleine Morris. The English cast includes Matt Shipman as Tsubasa Shiki, Mikaela Krantz as Minami Fuyuki, Travis Mullenix as Takayumi Matsuo, Alex Hom, Jason Crawford Jordan, and Preston Isham.
The opening theme song is “Namaramenkoi Gyaru” performed by Masayoshi Ōishi while Asaka performs the ending theme song “Wayawayawa-!”
The property began serialization through the Shonen Jump+ app back in the fall of 2019 and is ongoing with nine compiled volumes out so far in Japan as of November 2022.

Plot Concept: High school boy Tsubasa moves to Kitami City up in Hokkaido, where he meets a “gal” at a bus stop. The sight of her standing alone against the white snowscape, bare-legged despite the freezing cold, captures his heart.
