Funimation brought out the Overlord II complete season out quite some time ago and we’ve had two more seasons since then. The show, which streamed previously on Netflix before it expired, is now getting this season back on there with a planned May 15th, 2024 debut. The season will be added in its bilingual form with the Japanese language with English subtitles along with the English dub.
The winter 2018 anime series comes from author Kugane Maruyama with illustrations by so-bin that’s published by Enterbrain. It began in the summer of 2012 and released its eighth volume earlier this year. The series has had two drama CDs released with previous volumes.
It’s being animated by Madhouse with Naoyuki Itou directing it based on scripts by Yukie Sugawara and character designs by Takahiro Yoshimatsu as they adapt from the original works.
The series will star Kenta Miyake as Cocytus, Manami Numakura as Narberal Gamma, Masayuki Katou as Demiurge, Shigeru Chiba as Sebas Tian and Yumi Uchiyama as Mare Bello Fiore.
Plot Concept: Continuing his quest to rule this new world, Ains begins to put the pieces in place for his conquest. But between a Lizard Man tribe uprising, and performing missions as adamantite adventurer Momonga, Ains has his work cut out for him! Thankfully he has his most loyal and willing subordinates to do his bidding.
