Prime Video Removes ‘Kemurikusa’ Anime Streaming

2 min read

Amazon doesn’t exactly do a great job of announcing their simulcasts like the anime focused streaming services do and I missed making this nod the other day. Prime Video previosuly added the Kemurikusa anime to the service back in 2019 and they’re just as bad when it comes to telling people that they’re removing them. The full twelve-episode series has now been quietly removed from the service and is unavailable elsewhere.

TATSUKI and the Taoyorozu studio worked on this TV adaptation of TATSUKI’s previously self-produced original anime short Kemurikusa by doing an expanded and more fleshed-out version of the project that was done between 2010 and 2012.

The Japanese cast was previously revealed to include:

  • Mikako Komatsu as Rin
  • Arisa Kiyoto as Ritsu
  • Tomomi Jiena Sumi as Rina
  • Kenji Nojima as Wakaba

Check out the official site and Twitter.

Plot Concept: A story about three sisters struggling to survive in a desolate world surrounded by decaying buildings and red fog. The story revolves around Rin, a girl with an updo. There’s also Ritsu, the big sister who has cat ears and is always calm, and Rina, the innocent, cheerful one dressed in a maid’s costume. Just what is it that these sisters are after in this mysterious world?
