‘Tadaima, Okaeri’ Boys-Love Anime Adaptation Sets Premiere Date

The manga series Tadaima, Okaeri is getting an anime adaptation as announced in September 2023. The show is set for a 2024 broadcast on TV, and the staff were revealed previously. Crunchyroll previously revealed its pickup of the show for streaming with it set to be available to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

The latest update on the project is that it has been formally scheduled for an Apri 8th, 2024 debut on Tokyo MX with it rolling out just after that on multiple other networks.

Shinji Ishihara is directing it from scripts overseen by Yoshiko Nakamura. Mina Osawa is handling the character designs with Studio DEEN on the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes:

  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Hikari Fujiyoshi
  • Atsushi Tamaru as Masaki Fujiyoshi
  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Hiromu Fujiyoshi
  • Taku Yashiro Yūki Hirai
  • Kōsuke Toriumi as Tomohiro Matsuo
  • Konomi Kohara as Hinata Fujiyoshi

The opening theme song is “Futatsu no Kotoba” performed by MADKID.

The boys-love manga comes from Ichi Ichikawa which began in 2016 and has four volumes out as of 2019 as the manga has been on hiatus.
