The Lupin the 3rd franchise moved into its next phase, one that creator Monkey Punch was excited about before his passing last year, with Lupin III THE FIRST. The film saw a December 6th, 2019 debut in Japan where it was written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki.
The folks at GKIDS brought the film out on home video previously and back in October 202 the film arrived on Hulu where you can see it in its original Japanese language with English subtitles here or the English dub here, both of which are a lot of fun. Now, an expiration date has been set for it with it going off the service at the end of February, giving you about ten days or so left to check it out – which we definitely recommend.

GKIDS previously scheduled the DVD/BD release for a January 12th, 2021 debut that’s priced at $26.98. The set will have a steelbook edition as well when it arrives on the same date priced at $32.98. For those wanting it digitally, it became available on December 15th, 2020.
