The winter 2024 anime adaptation of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic light novel series is getting its Japanese home video releases handled by Frontier Works. The distributor has opted for a box set for the thirteen-episode season that will arrive on April 24th, 2024. It’ll be priced at 27,000 yen and be a single-disc release. It’ll come with a booklet, an original soundtrack download card, and on-disc extras of the clean theme songs, promos, and commercials.
The series has Takahide Ogata directing it from the series composition by Shogo Yasukawa. Kenji Tanabe is handling the character designs with Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation handling the production.
The Japanese cast includes Shogo Sakata as Usato, Ayaka Nanase as Suzune, Kengo Takanashi as Kazuki, Saya Aizawa as Amako, Atsuko Tanaka as Rose, Akeno Watanabe as Blurin, Chad Horii as Mill, Genta Nakamura as Orga, Hayato Fujii as Gurd, Kentaro Ito as Tong, Sōshirō Hori as Gomul, Tooru Nara as Alec, and Yoshino Aoyama as Ururu.
The series features the opening theme song “Cure” as performed by waterweed while the ending theme song “Green Jade” is performed by ChouCho.
The novels come from Kurokata which began in 2014 and currently has twelve volumes through 2020. A manga adaptation began in 2017 and has twelve volumes out as of March 2023. One Peace Books releases both in English.
