A new anime adaptation was announced in July 2023 with the Why Does Nobody Remember My World? light novel series from Kei Sazane and neco revealed. The production has now revealed the main staff and cast along with a visual below. The show has Tatsuma Minamikawa directing it from the series composition by Satoru Sugizawa. Hiromi Kato is on board for the character designs with project No. 9 on the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Haruka Shiraishi as Jeanne
- Kana Ichinose as Rinne
- Shōya Chiba as Kai
It’s known originally as Naze Boku no Sekai wo Dare mo Oboeteinai no ka?, it began in 2017 and saw nine volumes before wrapping up in the summer of 2020. A manga adaptation from Arikan is also underway with nine volumes out so far and is listed as ongoing.

Plot Concept: “Why does no one remember the true world?!”
The era when the great race of the five tribes competing for hegemony on the ground ended with the victory of mankind led by the hero Sid.
