
A new anime is being set for 2024 with the adaptation of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic light novel series. The novels come from Kurokata which began in 2014 and currently has twelve volumes through 2020. A manga adaptation began in 2017 and has twelve volumes out as of March 2023. One Peace Books releases both in English.
Announced back in the summer of 2021, the series saw a January 5th, 2024 premiere date. The Japanese production is now highlighting the third episode due out on January 19th, 2024 with the first preview for it.
Crunchyroll has announced its pickup of the series for the season with it being made available to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
The series has Takahide Ogata directing it from the series composition by Shogo Yasukawa. Kenji Tanabe is handling the character designs with Studio Add and Shin-Ei Animation handling the production.

The series features the opening theme song “Cure” as performed by waterweed while the ending theme song “Green Jade” is performed by ChouCho.

Plot Concept: Usato, an ordinary high schooler, happens to run into two fellow students after school one rainy day. Suddenly, all three of them are engulfed in a magic circle and transported to a fantasy world. There’s just one tiny problem—Usato is simply dragged along by accident! On top of that, Usato learns that he is capable of using healing magic—an incredibly rare affinity in this new world. Now Usato must spend his days with the rescue team thugs, struggling through their hellish training regimen—learning the wrong way to use healing magic. Get ready for an eccentric otherworld fantasy filled with comedy and combat!
