With the usual delay between the period and the reporting in place, Nielsen has updated to reveal the most-streamed shows in the US through the week ending December 10th, 2023. Netflix continues to dominate but this week holds onto seven slots this time – though a few are shared slots.
Young Sheldon making its way to Netflix has given it a real boost as Warner is bringing a lot of their properties there in addition to Max as it added another 1.6 billion minutes viewed this period, which is down from the week before when it was at the top. This week saw the debut of Leave the World Behind on Netflix where it comes in just under 2 billion minutes for the just over two-hour feature.
Squid Game: The Challenge showed some strength with new episodes being released at the time to get it to 1 billion minutes while Netflix was also able to onboard Super Mario Bros. this week where it did 1.3 billion minutes. Disney+ holds a slot with Bluey in third at just over 800 million minutes while Netflix also sees some boost for Suits after it fell off the chart the week before as scraps up 679 million minutes with people still working through it.
