We learned about a new anime adaptation in September 2022 being lined up for a 2023 debut with the announcement of the Tearmoon Empire light novels getting the nod. We got some solid details right out of the gate for the show and then the official site dropped a new promotional video for it along with a key visual as it sets an October 2023 debut.

Now, Crunchyroll is doing some new promotion for the series as they’ve brought out a clip from the sixth episode. Here, Mia is rooting for you!

Crunchyroll as they announced at the Animagic convention that they’ve picked up the rights to it. They’ll be bringing it out this fall with it open to subscribers in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

The anime adaptation has Yushi Ibe directing it and is based on the series scripts from Deko Akao. Mai Otsuka is on board for the character designs with Silver Link handling the animation production.

Plot Concept: Surrounded by the hate-filled gazes of her people, the selfish princess of the fallen Tearmoon Empire, Mia, takes one last look at the bleeding sun before the guillotine blade falls… Only to wake back up as a twelve-year-old! With time rewound and a second chance at life dropped into her lap, she sets out to right the countless wrongs that plague the ailing Empire. Corrupt governance? Check. Border troubles? Check. Natural calamities and economic strife? Check. My, seems like a lot of work. Hard work and Mia don’t mix, so she seeks out the aid of others, starting with her loyal maid, Anne, and the brilliant minister, Ludwig. Together, they strive day and night to restore the Empire. Little by little, their tireless efforts begin to change the course of history, pushing the whole of the continent toward a new future. And why did the selfish princess have a change of heart, you ask? Simple—she didn’t. She’s just terrified of the guillotine. They hurt like hell, and Mia hates pain more than work.
