The summer 2019 anime series Given was a part of the Noitamina block on Fuji TV and we learned not long after that a feature film was coming and eventually had an OAD as well. We’ve seen individual releases for all of this and a box set for the TV series but recently we got the news that we’re getting a full release that has all three components in one set. It was scheduled for a November 15th, 2023 release priced at 27,000 yen. The extras look to be similar to previous releases with an illustration card included along with clean theme song sequences.
With the set out recently and after having the main cover artwork for it, we now have a larger-sized look at the full packaging spread below.
The TV series had Hikaru Yamaguchi directing based on the scripts overseen by Yuniko Ayana. Studio Lerche is handling the animation production for it.
The Japanese cast includes Shougo Yano as Mafuyu Sato (guitarist and vocalist), Yūma Uchida as Ritsuka Uenoyama (guitarist), Masatomo Nakazawa as Haruki Nakayama (bassist), and Takuya Eguchi as Akihiko Kaji (drummer).
The series is based on the manga by Natsuki Kizu which is serialized in Cheri+ magazine. It began in December 2017 and has five volumes out as of April 2019.

Plot Concept: Somehow, the guitar that he used to love to play and the basketball games that he found so fun just lost their appeal…
That was until Ritsuka Uenoyama randomly met Mafuyu Sato. Ritsuka had started losing his passion for music in his everyday life, but then he hears Mafuyu sing for the first time. The song resonates with his heart and the distance between them starts to change.
