GKIDS saw their Ghiblifest 2023 get event underway eralire this year but they’re also doing some additional promotion for what’s in their catalog. With a lot of attention on a recent fan-made film, they now have a new English language trailer for the Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind film that is always worth seeing on the big screen year after year. They’ve released a new full trailer to ramp up some interest and it has us down to see it again. Check out the new trailer below and get into the groove.
This year it saw its dubbed screening on July 9th, 2023 while the subtitled screening takes place on July 11th, 2023.
Plot Concept: After a global war, the seaside kingdom known as the Valley of the Wind remains one of the last strongholds on Earth untouched by a poisonous jungle and the powerful insects that guard it. Led by the courageous Princess Nausicaä, the people of the Valley engage in an epic struggle to restore the bond between humanity and Earth.
