It’s been quite a few years since The Perfect Insider arrived after a tantalizing promotional campaign and it found itself streaming and home video releases. Sentai Filmworks brought the show out on disc and now the show is coming back in streaming for. HIDIVE had it originally and now they’re bringing it back today yon the service at 1:00 pm EDT for their members.

This series is based on the original work by Hiroshi Mori and is directed by Mamoru Kanbe based on scripts by Toshiya Oono. It’s animated at A-1 Pictures. Character designs are done by Inio Asano while Kenji Kawai handled the music.
The cast includes Yasuyuki Kase as Sōhei Saikawa, Atsumi Tanezaki as Moe Nishinosono, Ibuki Kido as Shiki Magata, Shunsuke Sakuya as Seiji Shindō, Sayaka Kobayashi as Yumiko Shindō, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Yukihiro Yamane, Bin Sasaki as Tomihiko Yuminaga, Kentarou Itou as Chikara Mizutani, Yōko Hikasa as Ayako Shimada, Hiroshi Shimozaki as Toshiki Mochiduki, Atsushi Imaruoka as Satoshi Hasebe, Yuko Kaida as Miki Magata, Houko Kuwashima as Momoko Kunieda, Taishi Murata as Fukashi Hamanaka, Yui Horie as Setsuko Gidō and Katsumi Chou as Suwano.
The series features the opening sequence song “Talking” by Kana-Boon as well as the closing sequence song “Nana Hitsuji” by Scenarioart.
Plot Concept:For most people, finding a dead body on their vacation would mean the vacation is over. However, for Souhei Saikawa, a professor of architecture, and his student Moe Nishinosono, a math prodigy, it’s a different kind of challenge.
Genius programmer Shiki Magata, one of Souhei’s idols, is inexplicably murdered inside the sealed research lab she disappeared to after being found innocent of her parents’ murder. As Souhei and Moe take the first steps into a deadly new world, they must untangle the complex web of events and clues leading up to the murder. With danger creeping up around them, this may be the last mystery this pair of human anomalies attempts to solve in THE PERFECT INSIDER!
