It’s been several years since we saw the end of the Yes! Precure 5 and Maho Girls Precure! series but they’re getting some renewed attention thanks to the franchise’s 20th anniversary. The two projects are getting done as sequels aimed at adult audiences with Power of Hope ~Grown-Up Precure 23~ and Mahō Tsukai Precure! 2. The former is planned for an October 2023 debut on NHK Educational while the latter will debut in 2024 on regular broadcast networks.
The Power of Hope ~Grown-Up Precure 23~ series was set with an October 7th, 2023 debut and now the official site has brought out a preview for the third episode that’s set for an October 21st, 2023 premiere.
The previous returning reveals included:
- Junko Takeuchi (Yes! Precure 5, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo!) as Rin Natsuki
- Orie Kimoto (Futari wa Precure Splash Star) as Saki Hyuuga
- Atsuko Enomoto (Futari wa Precure Splash Star) as Mai Mishou
- Mariya Ise as Urara
- Ai Nagano as Komachi
- Ai Maeda as Karen
- Eri Sendai as Kurumi
The series will have Takayuki Hamana as the series director with Atsuko Nakajima handling the character designs. Yoshimi Narita returns from the original series to handle the series composition. Toei Animation and Studio Deen are on board for the animation production.
