The fall 2018 anime adaptation of Kumo Kagyu’s property Goblin Slayer is the kind of show where the second season is announced, you feel like it was already and then realize that it’s taken way too long to get to this point. The GA Fes 2021 event back in January 2021 revealed that a second season of Goblin Slayer is indeed coming with details to come in the future.
The first season of the series was directed by Takaharu Ozaki and based on the series composition by Hideyuki Kurata. They’re both back but Ozaki is now serving as the chief director with Misato Takada being the hands-on director. Hiromi Kato replaces Takashi Nagayoshi on the character designs while White Fox is replaced with LIDENFILMS for the animation production. It’s listed with a planned 2023 debut.
With some character visuals out previously, the show was also recently set for an October 6th, 2023 premiere. Now, as we’re just a couple of weeks away, a new full promotional video has come out that also gives us a taste of the opening theme song within it.
Check out our review of the series.

Plot Concept: A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress. It’s the Goblin Slayer who comes to their rescue–a man who’s dedicated his life to the extermination of all goblins, by any means necessary. And when rumors of his feats begin to circulate, there’s no telling who might come calling next…
